Avon Products announced a 5% increase in its regular quarterly dividend. The new dividend rate will be $.22 per common share, up from $.21 per share, beginning with the first-quarter dividend payable March 1, 2010, to shareholders of record February 23, 2010.
At today's stock price of $29.40, Avon currently yields 3.0%.

Avon reported Q3 earnings of $0.36 per share on net income of $156 million versus $0.52 per share on net income of $223 million in the year ago period.
Revenue was $2.6 Billion and was 4% lower year over year due to foreign exchange pressure; Up 7% on local-currency basis, driven by strong Beauty Sales.

Avon Products Inc. signed Black Eyed Peas frontwoman Fergie to a multiyear deal as they up the ante in the celebrity fragrance space.
Fergie, 34, whose real name is Stacy Ferguson, is the latest high-profile name to join Avon’s growing cast of celebrities. The list includes Reese Witherspoon; Patrick Dempsey and his wife, makeup artist Jillian Dempsey; Courteney Cox; Derek Jeter; Jennifer Hudson, whose contract is due to expire, and in Latin America, Salma Hayek. Avon’s designer alliances have included Cynthia Rowley, Christian Lacroix and Emanuel Ungaro.
