Cirrus Logic Inc. (CRUS)

Cirrus Logic, Inc. (Nasdaq: CRUS), a leader in high-precision analog and digital signal processing components, said second quarter revenue was $55.7 million compared to $53.3 million during the second quarter of fiscal year 2009 and $37.5 million in the previous quarter. Gross margin for the quarter was 52 percent, down from 56 percent in the quarter a year ago and flat compared to 52 percent reported for the previous quarter.
Net income was 6,764,000 in the quarter vs. 6,339,000 in the year-prior period.

Texas Instruments (TXN)

Texas Instruments reported a third-quarter profit of $538 million, or 42 cents a share, compared with a profit of $563 million or 43 cents a share in the year-earlier period. Revenue fell to $2.9 billion from $3.4 billion. In the current quarter, TI said it expects revenue in the range of $2.78 billion to $3.02 billion, and earnings per share in the range of 42 cents to 50 cents.
In a statement, Chief Executive Rich Templeton said: "We are encouraged with the strong sequential increase in demand for our products over the past two quarters, as our customers are winding down their inventory corrections and have begun to increase production levels in their factories."

Accenture Ltd. (ACN)

Accenture (NYSE:ACN) has completed its acquisition of the professional services unit of Nokia (NOK) responsible for providing engineering and support of the Symbian operating system to mobile device manufacturers and service providers. The Symbian operating system is the world’s most widely used platform for smartphones.

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)

AMD (NYSE:AMD) Thursday reported revenue for the third quarter of 2009 of $1.396 billion, an increase of 18 percent compared to the second quarter of 2009, but a decrease of 22 percent compared to the third quarter of 2008. AMD third quarter showed a net loss attributable to AMD common stockholders of $128 million, or $0.18 per share, which includes a net favorable impact of $54 million, or $0.08 per share, primarily from a $66 million gain from the repurchase of debt. AMD’s operating loss was $77 million in the quarter.
AMD expressed optimism about future, saying it expects its product Company revenue to be up modestly for the fourth quarter of 2009.
