NCR Corporation today announced it has signed a multimillion dollar deal with Westpac New Zealand to implement the country’s most up-to-date, standards-compliant ATM network and help fulfil the bank’s promise of better service in its branches.
The deal reaffirms the company's worldwide leadership position in ATMs.

NCR will install its BLOCKBUSTER Express-branded DVD-rental kiosks in Brookshire Grocery stores, a more than 150-location grocery store chain located in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi. NCR anticipates fully deploying to the chain within the first three months of 2010.

NCR said it will install its BLOCKBUSTER Express™-branded DVD-rental kiosks in 35 locations of Gristedes Inc., a premiere New York City chain of small supermarkets. New Yorkers can already find BLOCKBUSTER Express kiosks in several Gristedes, with full deployment to be completed in January.

More and more German savings banks are choosing to outsource the monitoring, analysis and repair of their self-service systems to NCR’s Managed Services business. The outsourcing allows them to increase the availability of their self-service offering while creating additional room for improvement. In the past twelve months alone, more than 20 savings banks in Germany signed an Incident Management agreement with NCR, entrusting NCR with more than 2,000 automated teller machines (ATMs), cash recyclers and statement printers. The services provided by NCR help financial institutions further develop their business and achieve a more economical operation of their self-service systems.

Through its new outdoor kiosk, NCR will be able to extend its deployment of BLOCKBUSTER Express™-branded DVD-rental kiosks to more convenience store and smaller-footprint, 24-hour retail locations.

NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) today announced that ING Belgium has chosen the NCR SelfServTM 34 automated teller machine (ATM) with cash-recycling module to equip its new-concept Proxi branches.
The Proxi branch concept is part of ING Belgium’s retail bank strategy, unveiled in 2007 and driven by changes in customer expectations and habits, particularly the trend towards electronic channels. Proxi branches have an attractive open-plan layout with a fresh design and no counters or security glass, in order to facilitate interaction between customers and bank staff.
