Oakdale-based Imation, a data storage company, reported net income of $6.7 million, or 18 cents per share, compared to a loss of $45.6 million, or $1.22 per diluted share during the year-ago quarter. Excluding special items, earnings were 22 cents per share. Fourth-quarter revenue was $451.7 million, down 12 percent from last year’s fourth quarter of $513.9 million. For the year, revenue was $1.6 billion million, down 16.7 percent from $1.9 billion in 2008.
Results topped analyst expectation.
