NV Energy (NVE)
NV Energy has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement with a subsidiary of Ram Power Corporation for energy that will be produced by a new geothermal power plant under development in central Nevada.
Terms of the power purchase agreement, which is subject to approval by the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada, were not disclosed.

Harsco (HSC)
Harsco announced that its Harsco Rail unit has been awarded a new $6 million order from the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority for production of Utility Track Vehicle (UTV) prime movers.
Deliveries will begin in January 2011 and continue into the second quarter.

Cleco Power (CNL)
Cleco’s new Rodemacher 3 unit is online and producing power, the Pineville company said in a news release.
Commercial operation of the $1 billion project located near Boyce will activate Cleco’s new rate plan approved by the Louisiana Public Service Commission in October 2009, the firm said. The plan allows for recovery of the unit’s costs and is the company’s first full rate restructuring in more than 20 years.

AirTran will add another destination on its route map starting May 6 when it will begin to serve Tunica, Mississippi from Atlanta. One-way introductory rates of $49 each way are offered on trips finished on or before June 14.

Pacific Gas & Electric (PCG)
Pacific Gas & Electric has unveiled crucial details about its proposed wave energy project off the coast of Vandenberg Air Force Base; a major step toward alternative electric power generation for the region.
PG&E said the project could be operational by 2014, generating as much as 100 megawatts of power and providing permanent non-fossil-fuel power for the base, one of the largest employers in Santa Barbara County.

Southwest Airlines (LUV)
Southwest Airlines said it will sell tickets starting at $39 each way on some routes under 500 miles.
As usual, the airline didn't say how many seats it will offer at the sale prices, and Friday and Sunday flights aren't included. The sale ends Thursday and covers travel from March 15 through May 25.
