Jacobs Engineering (JEC)

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., one of the world's largest and most diverse providers of technical, professional, and construction services, announced that it received a contract from ExxonMobil Production Company to provide construction services for ExxonMobil's enhanced oil and gas recovery project at the Hawkins Field in Wood County, Texas, about 100 miles east of Dallas.
Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2010. Project start-up is anticipated in late 2011.

Air China has signed a ten-year maintenance agreement with Collins Aviation Maintenance Services Shanghai Limited (CAMSS), a Rockwell Collins joint venture, to provide service and support for Rockwell Collins equipment on the entire Air China fleet.
A corresponding avionics shop cooperation agreement was signed with maintenance providerAmeco, to jointly support the entire Air China’s installed base of Rockwell Collins avionics equipment under a price per flight hour program for ten years. The two agreements commenced on Jan. 1, 2010.

Saxonburg-based II-VI Inc. inked a $40 million multi-year agreement with Department of Defense contractor Lockheed Martin Corp. to supply components for the Joint Strike Fighter, F-35 Lighting II.

Lockheed Martin (LMT)

Lockheed Martin announced that the Beam Control/Fire Control system for the U.S. Missile Defense Agency’s Airborne Laser Testbed (ALTB) successfully aimed the High Energy Laser beam in an experiment Feb. 11, in which a boosting ballistic missile target was destroyed.
In the lethal demonstration, the directed energy system aboard the modified Boeing 747-400F aircraft engaged and destroyed the threat-representative ballistic missile target shortly after it was launched from a sea-based platform in the Pacific Ocean.
